
Sauna Fest - Important Info
Kia Ora Everyone!
If you’re reading this, most likely you’re coming to Sauna Fest, yay!!
It’s just around the corner, so we’re outlining some key information about the weekend to make it all go smoothly.
Sauna Rules
When using the saunas, please follow these simple rules:
ALWAYS sit on a towel
Max 10 people per sauna
When going for a swim, reserve your spot by leaving your towel on the bench.
Check the sign outside each sauna for its theme and stick to it (e.g. if it’s a silent sauna, no talking)
Always ask before pouring water on the rocks
Be mindful of others – obnoxious behaviour will not be tolerated
Arrival and Departure
Arrival: Gates open at 2pm, Friday 16th
Departure: 1:30pm, Sunday 18th
Other important info:
Make sure you have your ticket ready on screen or printed. No ticket = no entry
You’ll receive a map on arrival showing all the key places and spaces, simply put, the back of the park is noisy and closest to the lake is quiet.
Driveways are one-way – this will be clearly signposted by TOP 10. There is a 5km speed limit.
If you’ve booked a cabin, head to the TOP 10 reception to collect your keys and check-in info. Check in is 2pm Friday and check out is 10am Sunday.
Gear List
It’s going to be cold – we know that for sure! From experience, bringing these things will make your weekend much more enjoyable:
Thermals
Warm clothes
Day bag (for towels and clothes)
Rain jacket (just in case)
Yoga mat
Blanket (for relaxing)
4 towels per person (trust us – you’ll use them!)
Hot water bottle
Torch
Gumboots (or something similar)
Bowl/plate, cutlery, and mug
Water bottle
Warm bedding
Food will be available to purchase, but there are also kitchen facilities if you’d like to cook your own meals.
Cash and EFTPOS are accepted for food and market stalls
Please don’t…
Use open flame burners or charcoal BBQ's
Set off fireworks or firework related products
Charge electric vehicles
Dogs
Dogs are welcome, but please don’t let them roam freely. They are not permitted in any roofed accommodation or communal facilities. They must be on a leash at all times.
The Top10 park is DOC land, no other pets are allowed - only dogs.
Common Q+As
Do I need to book a powered site?
No, but make sure you bring your own connection adapter if you plan to plug in.
What if I don’t want to be included in photos?
Please send us a photo of yourself, and we’ll make sure not to publicly share any content with you in it.
Will there be alcohol?
We will not be serving alcohol however if you bring your own, please be responsible, we will not tolerate any mindless behaviour.
Can I drop my kids off at the kids zone and leave them?
No – your children are your responsibility. The kids zone is not a drop-off service.
