Offer a guided-session at Sauna Fest 26!
We're looking for experienced facilitators to create unique and intimate Aufguss experiences inside our saunas.
We're excited to showcase the art of Aufguss alongside a new wave of sauna experiences. We know New Zealand has its own creative spirit, and we're on the hunt for individuals who can translate that passion into unique, themed Aufguss sessions that celebrates our culture and environment.
This is your chance to share your talent in a unique, heated environment. We're accepting applications for:
Traditional Aufguss: Lead a session with towels, essential oils, and your expertise.
Mindfulness & Meditation: Guide participants into a state of deep relaxation.
Sound Journeys: Use instruments or your voice to create an immersive auditory experience.
Live Performance: Share your music or storytelling in an intimate setting.
Something completely different: If you have an idea that doesn’t fit these categories, we'd love to see it.
As a bonus, every mini-session facilitator will be entered into the Sauna Fest NZ Aufguss Championship! We’ll be scoring each session, and one lucky person will take home the inaugural trophy.

Guided sauna session length - 30 minutes each (split into two 15 min slots with a cool down period in between)
ETHICAL COMPASS
Knowledge and Integrity: Ensure all information, techniques, and practices are well-founded and delivered with respect. Be transparent about your qualifications and the origins of your work, whether it is informative, experiential, or somatic.
Ethical Conduct: Maintain the highest professional standards, treating all attendees with respect and dignity.
Boundary Setting: Recognise and address potential power imbalances, maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Informed Consent and Communication: Communicate clearly, respectfully, and compassionately, obtaining explicit consent before any physical touch or intervention.
Scope of Practice: Work within your area of expertise and refer attendees to qualified professionals when necessary.
GUIDED SAUNA SESSION ACCEPTANCE
If your application is accepted we will require you to offer this session 4x throughout the duration of the festival. You’ll receive the following as our way of showing our gratitude for you being part of The Sauna Fest 26 and sharing your gifts.
2x full pass festival tickets (for you and a support person)
1x car pass or 1x powered site pass
1x complimentary meal on Saturday evening (cooked by our on-site kitchen crew)
